====== My Persona ======

I am a 10th century Rus woman. I come from Kiev on the Dnieper River. My family works on a farm along the river. During my younger years I spent the summer months caring for the bees. By fall, when all the crops have been harvested and the bees are sleeping, I helped the local potter. I dug clay on the shores of the Dnieper River. This was a very busy time, as all the clay for the next season had to be dug before the frosts set in and digging became impossible. The winter months were spent helping the potter sell his wares at the marketplace. I also had plenty of time to help my mother spin and weave. 

One day as a young adult I was helping the potter during the winter and a Varangian Guard came by to trade silks and furs for cookware. He stopped by a lot, supposedly they broke the cookware after drinking too much mead. I think he just wanted to get to know me better. The potter didn't mind, his wife loved the silk fabrics. By spring we were married. The thawing of the Dnieper also meant the Varangian guard would be traveling to the great walled city of Miklagard. I left my home in Kiev to live in the great city with my new husband, Haraldr. The Varangian guards were paid well and I did not want for anything. Thanks to the great God Perun and his son Jarilo we had two children.
