====== Lyres  ======

Over the years many folks have built lyres with the help of the construction article [[http://www.budgardr.org/thora.html|Thora]] and I wrote back in 1992 (which is still available at
[[http://www.cs.vassar.edu/~priestdo/lyre.html]]). Now and again people send me pictures of what they built or pictures of folks playing home made lyres.

Ymir Vilmeid sent me these pictures of his project in 1999:

Then Sven sent me a few of his 1999 lyre project:

In 2004 Cariodoc deceided to give it a go and produced this lyre:

He has since gone on to make many lyres built to patters he has created from his own reseach.

And to finish off, here is a picture Nigel sent me from 2005, one of Cariodoc's lyres can be partialy seen and I am playing my original bookshelf and plywood paneling lyre that I built in 1989.
